Kingdom Hearts III “Face my Fears” opening theme collab between Hikaru Utada and Skrillex revealed

Kingdom Hearts III has announced the opening and ending themes for the upcoming JRPG.
Square Enix has revealed that the new song is titled “Face My Fears” and is a collaboration between iconic Japanese singer Hikaru Utada and American DJ Sonny John “Skrillex” Moore. The ending theme titled “Don’t Think Twice” will also release on the same day as the opening. That day is January 18, 2019.
Though this is the first time we’ve had Skrillex work on Kingdom Hearts, Utada has featured in multiple iconic tracks for the franchise. Kingdom Hearts 1‘s Hikari and Simple and Clean, and Kingdom Hearts 2‘s Passion and Sanctuary all featured work from the artist.
We haven’t heard the tracks yet, bu we can probably safely assume they follow the trend of past themes. Previous songs had two variations to fit the fast-moving pace of the traditional Kingdom Hearts CG openings, with a slower or lengthier version playing as the credits rolled.
If you want to check out some content featuring Toy Story, and we’ve also seen plenty of other worlds as well. Franchises like Tangled, and general story elements, as well as a boss battle with badass Aquain the game.
The game will release for PS4 and Xbox One in Japan on January 25th, and in the west on January 29th.
