Star Citizen Alpha 2.5 Goes Live
As development on the much-hyped Star Citizen rolls on, RSI has hit a new milestone today with the publishing of Alpha version 2.5 to all the game’s backers. The new version adds plenty of new content and improvements to the game. The biggest changes to the overall experience are coming in 3.0 however, and 2.5 lays a lot of groundwork for that upcoming patch.
Some of the more notable changes include:
- We will be wiping the persistence database with this patch from 2.4.1 to 2.5.0. All aUEC progress and item purchases will be reset.
- Updates and changes to various Star Systems
- Implementation of the new landing system
- The first phase of “Item System 2.0” which seeks to streamline the purchasing and use of items in the game.
